Holiday Happenings at Historical Places

The Monroe Historical Society invites the community to a HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE Thursday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the museum at 207 East Main Street. Come enjoy refreshments, tour the museum and find out who won the society’s annual quilt raffle. Several new exhibits are on display at the museum, including “Dirt Track Days: Sky Valley Racing Association, 1957-1977” commemorating the history of auto racing in Monroe. The museum’s regular exhibits feature a dugout canoe from the local Tulalip Tribe and the safe from the Monroe First National Bank on Main Street.    The free event is open to all ages.  The Monroe Historical Society Museum is open from 11 to 3 p.m. Saturdays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
